1188 is a creative studio in Japan centered on screen printing, producing artworks, prints, posters, and products.

We see screen making and printing not simply as production processes, but as methods of expression. We make the screens by hand, adjust the colors, and print one sheet at a time. Small differences and discoveries that emerge through the process become part of the work.

Our screen-making service provides a stable foundation for production while also creating new connections with artists, designers, and companies. The time, resources, and relationships generated through that work are reinvested into the next artworks and activities.
